This privacy policy explains how UF101.ie ("we", "us", "our") collects, stores, and uses your personal data when you create an account or use this app.

1. What data we collect

When you create an account and use UF101.ie, we collect the following information:

• Name — provided when you sign up, used to pre-fill the UF101 form.
• Email address — used to identify your account and for account recovery.
• Drone and pilot details — saved so you can reuse them across submissions.
• Submission history — a log of UF101 applications you have generated in the app, including zone, date, and aircraft details.

We do not collect payment information, location data beyond what you enter for a flight application, or any data from your device without your knowledge.

2. How your data is stored

Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication), operated by Google Ireland Limited. Firebase stores data on servers within the European Union and complies with GDPR. Data is protected by Google's enterprise-grade security infrastructure.

Locally, some data (operator profile, saved drones and pilots) is also stored in your browser's localStorage for offline access.

3. How we use your data

• To pre-fill the UF101 form with your saved operator, pilot, and drone details.
• To track usage limits on your account (e.g. monthly submission count).
• To allow you to review your submission history.
• If you have given optional consent at sign-up: to send you occasional product updates about UF101.ie and new tools for Irish drone pilots.

We do not use your data for advertising, third-party profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app and, where consented, sending product updates.

3a. Marketing emails

We will only send you product update or marketing emails if you explicitly opted in at sign-up. The legal basis for this processing is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).

You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing info@uf101.ie with the subject "Unsubscribe", or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect your account or the lawfulness of any emails sent before withdrawal.

We record the date and time your consent was given and store it securely on Firebase.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. The only exception is Google Firebase, which processes data on our behalf as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement that complies with GDPR.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Withdraw marketing consent at any time by emailing info@uf101.ie.
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.

To exercise any of these rights, or to request deletion of your data, please email us at info@uf101.ie. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will permanently remove your account data from our systems within 30 days.

7. Cookies

This app does not use tracking cookies. Firebase Authentication may use browser storage (IndexedDB or localStorage) to maintain your login session.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated to signed-in users via an in-app notice.
